About our Partners Don OschwaldBefore founding Rainmaker, Don Oschwald was a highly successful operator/manager of several multi-million dollar retail businesses in Central Kentucky. Additionally, Oschwald has been the owner of a top volume Lexington Subway restaurant since 1989. During the past thirty years Oschwald has interviewed, hired and been the client of 11 different advertising agencies. The experience of having been a client of various ad agencies gives Oschwald a truly unique ground floor perspective for helping clients realize results.

Dawn BryantIt is critical that a great advertising firm has a Media Director with both a working knowledge of the marketplace as well as all the various media outlets, and Dawn Bryant has a history of excellence in these areas. Dawn spent 14 years in the radio business with Village Communications, Jacor and Clear Channel in a number of different roles. In 1997 Dawn began her career on the agency side and planned and bought media in a number of different local, regional and national scenarios over the past 10 years. As a Rainmaker partner and Media Director, Dawn performs research; develops strategic media plans; measures the schedules delivery against the insertion orders, and ensures that Rainmaker clients are realizing the utmost value for their advertising and marketing investments.

Chuck Crawford
Making the transition from the media side to the agency side came quite naturally for Chuck Crawford as one of the partners of Rainmaker, after leaving 25 years of media successes. From 1984 through 1987, Chuck owned and operated an advertising agency, (The Crawford Agency), and planned and bought media; handled the creative and produced numerous thematic jingles. Chuck’s business experience spans from selling and managing retail in 1973 to a position of General Sales Manager with the highly successful photo ad magazine group, Piston Publications in 1981, which was later sold to Trader Publications where Chuck was promoted to General Manager. In 1996, after 15 years in the print industry, Chuck accepted the position of General Manager of TCI Media Services. He helped launch the Central Kentucky Cable Ad Sales Interconnect and managed the business through 4 different mergers and acquisitions to a height of unparallel growth. He understands the inner workings of both electronic and print media organizations and can strategically mine opportunities that other agencies don’t even know exist. Although he has an MBA and teaches both Integrated Strategic Communications and Telecommunications at The University of Kentucky as an Adjunct Professor, it is the practical application of successful experience and real world success for clients that fuel his fire. “I am totally committed helping grow our client’s bottom line today, while keeping my eye on future opportunities for them. Rob RumpkePublic relations, event management and organizational development are areas in which Rob Rumpke has a deep background and breadth of experience. Rob’s 27 years of organizational management and development span from working with the Cincinnati Reds as Assistant Director of Public Relations; Wittenberg University as Director of News Services; Host Communications as Director of Marketing; The Red Mile & Tattersall’s Horse Sale as Director of Marketing; The Kentucky Tourism Council as President/CEO and RRA where he functioned in a dual role as the Executive Director of The Richmond Chamber of Commerce and devoted time to various clients and projects.
Rob also serves on a number of different boards in the Central Kentucky community such as: Bluegrass Tomorrow; The Lexington Sports Authority; and The Madison County Chemical Destruction Community Advisory Board. Previously, he has served as chair of the U.K. Children’s Hospital/Children’s Miracle Network and the board of the Ashland, Henry Clay Estate.
